Iqra Academy aims to provide its pupils with a high quality British and Islamic education that suits the needs of all our pupils so that they may grow into being confident, caring and responsible individuals who are well prepared for future life and its opportunities. The broad and balanced curriculum has been designed using the basic framework of the National Curriculum for England and Wales, and meets the National Curriculum Standards for Qatar as set by MOEHE.
At Iqra Academy, we believe that pupils should be taught and have a solid and correct understanding of the Islamic faith and its values. Our aspirations are that when pupils leave or graduate from our academy, they will have memorised good portions of the Qura’an and have strong Islamic foundations that they can continue to build on. In order to achieve this, we have developed and timetabled the following programmes:
This programme is aimed at all pupils. Pupils have a minimum of four lessons of Qura’an during the week. In this programme, pupils will learn to recite with accuracy, preciseness and perfect their memorisation of Surahs in the Qura’an.
